Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, (2 Corinthians 3:12)
Christ is our living hope who gives us the boldness and motivation to take risks and move forward. When we have hope, we can navigate the storms of life without despair. We can have joy and peace despite our circumstances because we know we have a God that works all things for our good.
The word “hope” in the New Testament is from the Greek word elpis. “According to Strong’s Concordance, elpis means expectation, trust, and confidence.” This means that we are confidently expecting that something good will happen and waiting patiently for it with joy and pleasure.
Without Jesus Christ there is no hope, for He said in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” So therefore, without God, there is no hope.
We need to be in a state of readiness to put a stop to every and anything that would dimmish our hope, for Biblical hope is rooted in faith. Hebrews 11:1 state “Faith is the substance of things hoped for.” We cannot have one without the other. Without faith, there is no hope, and without hope, there is no true faith. It’s that simply!
Hebrews 6:18 says God can’t lie. Every promise God makes will come to pass, and we can be bold and confident in our hope and even boast of it because we know it will happen. Hope makes us bold!
Be bold in pursuing Christ, in prayer, in sharing the Gospel, in being a blessing to humanity, in moving forward, in starting or continuing your businesses, in projects, in ministries, in your careers, in your education and in climbing the ladders of success.
Speak with boldness the promises of God over your lives and destines, over your children and extended families, over communities, cites, states and nations without wavering and see the circumstances change for good because you have the audacity to hope!
“We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain.”(Hebrews 6:19)
“Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,” (Titus 2:13)
“Since we have such a hope, we are very bold,” (2 Corinthians 3:12)
