Never Let The Fire Go Out

He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone.” (Matthew 14:23)

Prayer is our lifeline to the Father. Jesus died to open a line of communication that would literally sustain us as the Holy Spirit interprets our request and reveal the mind of God.

Jesus personally knew the power of prayer which was enough to sustain Him and is more than enough to sustain us. The fact that He awoke early in the morning to pray points to the importance of our daily communication with Him. He did not use prayer sparingly.

Jesus prayed routinely, setting the perfect example for us to follow. Throughout Scripture, we see many incidents recorded of Jesus praying before He chose the apostles, before He crossed over to the other side, in the Garden, at the Last Supper, and so many more.

We must cry out continually for those in our generation to make it as well as those who God has predestined down through the generations. There is no failure in God and He does not make mistakes. You have been handpicked for such a time as this. You were called to place your burdens —your intercession upon the altar as you stay faithful in fulfilling your God-given assignments. Remember, prayer is our lifeline, cultivate and use it continually.
