Grace4Today: No More Delays

Sometime ago I went through a season of frustration and discouragement due to delays and I want to share with you how I was encouraged to push through the resistances as hope flooded my heart and I prevailed in pursuing the promises of God by faith.

As I sought the Lord in prayer and fasting concerning the delays encountered, I was led to read Joshua 14. This is where Caleb went to Joshua and stated it is now time for him and Judah to get their inheritance as promised. He said, “I was forty years old when Moses, the servant of the Lord, sent me from Kadesh-barnea to explore the land of Canaan. I returned and gave an honest report, but my brothers who went with me frightened the people from entering the Promised Land. For my part, I wholeheartedly followed the Lord my God.” Joshua 14:7-8

However, Caleb realized that even though a long time had passed since the Word of God was spoken over their lives, yet the promise was still as powerful as the day it was given. He said in Joshua 14:10 as he came to Joshua with the children of Judah and said unto him, “You know what the Lord said unto Moses about you and me at Kadesh Barnea 45 years ago…”

Detours and delays may sometimes discourage us but remember even after 45 years of delay Caleb made up his mind that he was going to reach the destiny and destination God had set and he received his inheritance.

Then I was further strengthened and armed by Jeremiah 1:11 which said “Then the Lord said to me, “Look, Jeremiah! What do you see?” And I replied, “I see a branch from an almond tree.” And the Lord said, “That’s right, and it means that I am watching, and I will certainly carry out all my plans.” God is stating that He watches over the logistics, execution and timing of His plans towards us - it will happen! We will not be denied!

My God, I was so encouraged and felt the stirrings of courage and boldness entering again into my heart, soul and mind as I started to rehearse God’s goodness declaring His will and that I was not backing down. I refused to give up my breakthroughs and blessings to the enemy! Through intense prayers and fasting I prevailed by the grace of God.

God said it, I believe it, and that settles it!

Are you going through unnecessary delays concerning your breakthroughs? Commit again the vision and prophetic direction God gave you, declaring the faithfulness of God over them! Rise up, take authority over every delay and disappointment that the enemy has thrown against your progress.

“Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.”

Romans 4:20-21

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

Delay is a powerful weapon the enemy uses to get us into doubt and unbelief. Thank you empowering change for reminding us that God is not a man that he should lie, if said it he will bring it to pass. I am encouraged!
