God is Able

Psalms 121:1-2 says “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, Which made heaven and earth.” The one who wrote psalm is sharing and describing through his own personal experiences the level of diligence, love, protection, provision and successes that came from God. We are encouraged to continue to look to God - hold onto our confidence in God’s divine abilities as we continue in prayer; give thanks in all situations; forgive and let go of ill feelings towards others and release blessing upon them.

God is actively involved in the affairs of mankind. He is not an image made by human hands nor unfeeling or unmoved by the plight of His people! The psalmist says “He who keeps you will not slumber” (Psalms 121:3) and is faithfully and actively working out and through all our challenges for our well-being. When we look to the LORD, we have confidence in the fact that God does not sleep. His watchful eyes are always open, looking with love and care upon His people.

The Bible states, “Let us hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering…” (Hebrews 10:23) your faith in Jesus and in the Word of God. The word “profession” means to confess; to promise; to acknowledge; assent; to give thanks. It is a weighty thing - a covenant affirmation or acknowledgement. It’s not a flippant thing to say, that has nothing to back it up. It is a serious and committed statement. The dictionary meaning of profess or profession is: a declaration; to lay claim to; to declare openly; announce or affirm; avow or acknowledge; to affirm faith in or allegiance to. Confess means: to admit as true.

God means everything that He says and never wastes any of His words. His words have the power to create, to command and to bring to pass. If He makes a promise, He is faithful to also keep it.

Continue to believe and walk in liberty with confidence in God. Be bold and courageous!

Take time to read, meditate and pray using the recommended scriptures below.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised.) (Hebrews 10:23)

He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. (Psalms 121:3)

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (Isaiah 43:2)

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me (John 14:1)
