Contending For The Ever Increasing Faith In God

“... According as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith...” (Romans 12:3 KJV)

So we know that faith comes from God and that He has given the same specific amount to every believer. No one gets more or less but your faith can grow base on what you do with it. God has already done His part. He automatically put in us faith that has the ability to increase when we actively and consistently put into practice our absolute confidence in His ability.

When we release empty and vain words, a lack of confidence in God’s sovereignty and power, and fail to respond in obedience, it will yield a harvest of disappointments, frustrations and broken hearts as stated in Proverbs 13:12 “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.“

The Apostle James also provided us with a very vivid and compelling description of the state of that type of faith in James 2:26 “For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead.”

For we have confidence that our faith increases when we apply God’s principles and instructions to increase our faith as stated in Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by

the word of God.”

We will bring increase to our faith as we respond to God’s Word so that we can usher in a consistent harvest of His unparalleled supernatural and miraculous power in this world. Let us be intentional to consistently shift gears and pursue the reading of the Word of God daily, praying in faith as we evict every seed or thoughts of unbelief that will create barriers and limit the flow of God’s power. This will yield a daily direct deposit of faith. Choose to live a life of obedience and contend for the ever increasing faith in God!
