“And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.“ (Matthew 24:14 AMPC)
Jesus was stating a fact that the gospel will be preached in all the world as a witness and then the end comes. Matthew 24 tells us of all the troubles that the Church will encounter and it should not cause us to lose focus. There is still an assignment and He is making sure that in each generation we are aware that the plan of God is for all men to hear and believe the good news of God’s love, mercy and grace.
In essence Jesus is saying be determined to put a great deal of effort each day to bring in the harvest of disciples - evangelize, teach, preach, love, show mercy, heal and deliver. We have a hope and an expected outcome through God’s promises and prophesies in His Word.
Let’s us remember that Jesus will return at the appointed time and will measure our work in His Kingdom by our level of faithfulness.
”Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].“ (1 Corinthians 15:58 AMPC)

May I fulfill destiny in the appointed time. Thank you empowering-change for reminding us to stay stedfast!
